Pavilions on the cheap

These are the only images I have of the first two pavillions I made. The first one is made from a 11ft market umbrella. The walls are made out of cheap thin canvas, and the green accents are of dirt cheap broadcloth. Surprisingly large amount of room inside it. I had a full size twin slat bed, table, set of cupboards, archery equipment, full heavy gear (underbed), a clepsydra, and a cooler/chair. Umbrella pavilion’s are really nice in that when you get to a site and its pouring rain, you can have the roof up in secconds. after that your working undercover.

This second image is of a 10×10 easy up. I had gotten it from my workplace in broken peices. A snowfall had bend and broken numerous parts in the frame. After a bunch of patching and welding I got it in working shape. I painted the roof green to match the recycled wall section from the umbrella pavillion. By recycling the wall panel, I only had to make a small additional panel to completely cover the walls.

After this I started to make structures rather than tents.
