Silk Experiment

I took a little day course on silk painting. It was taught by Mistress Agnes Cresewyke, a laurel in a local branch of the SCA. The original sample I made during the course (OR, a Purple Double headed cock) has long since disappeared in the murky depths of the sewing room. The following .jpg’s are of a Geisha that’s from a stained glass panel (soon to be blogged), a Fairy (experimenting with blending colors, and lastly my proposed device for my medieval society (must mail out package soon!) (Blazon:Per Fess, Ermine & Purpure, a turnip proper). Not a skill I am planning on developing, but still a very interesting artform.
