X-Chair v3.0 Agnes’ Chair

I had a blast this weekend.

I went into the dusty depths of my wood-shop on Saturday morning, and didn’t come out till Sunday 6pm. (sleeping eating and biffy breaks excluded).

The very best thing of all, I now have the dust extraction lines/hoses established at all my major dust making tools. It was amazing the difference this made. Along with building a funnel box for the table saw, the dust level is WAY down.  While I still had some liberated built in vacuum hose, I made a floor vacuum to clean up the little that did hit the floor.

Sunday had me working on two projects. First of course is Agnes’s x-chair. This second chair has turned out so much better than mine, that if not for the fact I may build another for myself, I’d be jealous. There is a problem with it being this good though. The dowel that are friction fit tight on my chair are loose on Agnes’. I may have to resort to outside buttons to prevent the chair from coming apart too easily.

The second project is a surprise gift one, so I can’t say too much, but initial prototype worked better than I though. A little trial & error, and It should end up working very well…..

Now I am off to see “City of Lost Children”, my second favorite Jean Pierre Juenet film, on the big screen @ the Vancity theatre. The most comfy screen in town .
