This last weekend was the second annual AT War (Avacal/Tir Righ). Approx 400 people gathered in Clearwater BC to party with the buffalo.
two words = Awesome Event.
We had a large contingent of royals from kingdom, and principalities. The streets were lined with a large amount of period pavilions. THUA (Their Highness University of Avacal) session [...]

Last weekend a small low key event happened out in Maple Ridge. The Barony of Lions Gate held its annual Archery Defenders tourney.  Normally this was combined with the Heavy Defenders tourney (Not absolutely sure on that, could be rapier defenders), but this year they tried giving all defenders  disciplines a separate event. The big push is on. I will be leaving on Friday for Avacal/Tir Righ war. My deadline for finishing this project was this event, so I needed to get on with it.

All of the side panels have been cut out, carved, primed and painted.

More painting done on the front door panel. The two headed cock just makes me laugh. I used it as my main charge for a long time, but never bothered registering it. The other two symbols are the populace badges for An Tir, and Tir Righ.

I have got it into my thick skull that I will enjoy raising Silkworms.  The whole selective breeding for specific traits appeals to the farmer in me.
I could be raising silkworms right now, as everything you need to raise silk can be bought on line. Somehow buying silkworm chow  seems like cheating, so long before [...]

Nothing really medievaloid today, just making tools handles for a set of rasps. These rasps have been kicking around in my tool box for sometime. I seldom used them as the end your not using always ended up grating away flesh from my palm.
