A friend of mine recently came across a great website, that has some amazing clock plans. In amongst those plans there was a package of plans specifically aimed at yarn lovers. EB ordered those plans, and then passed them on to me. She wanted the yarn spooler made up. I was more than happy to [...]
Its been a month and more since I did an Ash & Flora update. They are both doing well. The Mulberry Tree (Flora) is doing fantastic. The tempature from this heat wave is making it shoot up like mad. If it keeps up this rate, and I don’t manage to kill it over the winter, [...]
Its been a few days since my last post. I have been busy doing non-sca-ish stuff, and haven’t gotten around to posting a few things I finished a couple of weeks ago. The biggest project was my first weaving project. Made out of crochet cotton, the warp threads are a bit smaller than the weft [...]
Experimenting with Purple Heart dye. Having collected a bunch of wood sawdust, I decided to try making a usable dye from purple heart. I first separated the sawdust into two piles. The first pile I left steeping on the stove making a dark reddish tea. Many more pictures after the jump

I feel so happy watching this video, I could just cry. My new Happy thought for the day. It also doesn’t hurt that the music for the video rocks.
Today was a good scanvage day. I bought myself a loom at Value Pillage. No idea if it is all there and working. Nothing jumps out at me as being wrong. I am not a textiles kind of girl, but I can spot a deal when I see one. $20… Score.
By request. Setting up the mini yurt. A lot of images after the jump. The yurt in it storage mode. Dogzilla decided to stop by for scale.
