Yarn Spooler

A friend of mine recently came across a great website, that has some amazing clock plans. In amongst those plans there was a package of plans specifically aimed at yarn lovers. EB ordered those plans, and then passed them on to me. She wanted the yarn spooler made up. I was more than happy to oblige (who doesn’t like making gadgets). Well I got so into the project, I completely forgot to take pictures of the build (Bad Apprenti). Alas, I  have an image of the final product, and a video of the  thing in action. I did change a few things from the plans, so that I could do more wood turning.

Need to build the c-clamps and get a better elastic for the drive. Built out of Cherry, Dogwood, Red Oak, Maple, 1/2″ mahogany plywood, Dark Walnut, & Mysterious unidentifiable Red and Brown hardwood from Asian pallets.
