This is my halloween post. It has nothing to do with the SCA, but it is my favorite day all year, so I need to share. I went to two different Sci-Fi theme halloween parties this year. The second one was a Classic Scifi Party, so I decided to do a homage to 1920-40 sci-fi villans (like Ming the merciless). Hence Empress Atomica (Intergalactic Overlord ~ Better Living Through Lack of Choice) was born.

This is the flashing sonic thought transmitter for the top of my hat.

Cheap little Ray gun I made up for James Wolfdens “Buck Rogers” costume. He trade me a “Battle Beneath the planet of the Apes” poster for it.

Empress Atomica’s Sonic Vaporizer… Many, Many puny earth humans died before it broke.

A shot of the back of Vestments of Athority. My Turkish Entari with large logo and shoulders stitched on. The belt was then drapped over the outfit. Yes there is sink strainers hot glued to the sides of the hat!

Its a dark video of the ray gun, but you get to see the flashing sonic doohickies on the end, and the sparky, noise maker  trigger in action.

I even started a blog for the occasion.
