I am attempting to make myself some new garb. I have been wearing mens English late period since I started in the SCA. I started with mens clothing because of my extraordinary ability to trip on the hems of skirts even if the hem is well higher than my ankles. Time has come for a change.

I’ve decided to make some Turkish ottoman-esque garb. Even the longer outer layers are sometimes depicted as having the ends tucked up into the belts. I might be able to wear this style without face planting every couple of minutes.

I am not doing a lot of research into my outfit. I figure I will just follow in the footsteps of Mistress Agnes, and Mistress Safiya. Both peach keen awesome sause costume junkies.

Gomlek.

Its all hand stitched. Not my favorite thing in the world, but I figure I need the practice, and it might as well be on the under layers of the outfit. Much, Much more to go.
